WELCOME TO BEATE ANTARES

Like many a child’s dream, Beate Antares left her native Poland to join the circus. Actually, it was her parents, but even as a young child touring with Circus Viola/Mundeling in Norway, Beate’s life has been one colorful exhibition under the big top. Following in her parent’s musical footsteps, Beate fostered her talent for the violin at the acclaimed Dortmund Music Conservatory in Germany, and underwent rigorous Ballet training at the Royal Academy of Dance, performing professionally at age twelve. Beate’s passion for the screen as well as the stage ignited her to move to Los Angeles where she studied Film and Musical Theatre at Loyola Marymount University while forming a production company, Antithesis Films. There Beate cut her teeth producing music videos and directing celebrity mobile greetings for AT&T. Both her short films Death of Venus and The Rite of Spring circulated successfully at renowned film festivals.

Beate’s talent behind the scenes was soon recognized by Grosse Point Blank director George Armitage , after seeing her talent producing and directing music videos for emerging European bands, live concert displays, and several sports spots for ITV. Beate was quickly promoted to Associate Producer on the feature film Big Bounce, starring Owen Wilson and Morgan Freeman. Beate then spend seven years as Director of Development for Taormina Pictures.

Eager to get behind the camera again, Beate joined Red Love Film, directing, writing, and producing again. Some of her recent projects include the feature Measure, a tragedy based loosely on Shakespeare's Measure for Measure about an aging and no longer relevant Irish mob, her short film, Joy Division, which debuted at the Cannes Festival Shorts in 2010, and screened in seven other prestige’s film festivals. Now in Pre-Production as a feature, which she also wrote. The comedy short she wrote starring academy winner Louis Gossit Jr, Jewtholic. Currently Beate is also set to direct the short film “Angels in the Rhine” with Jimmy Jean Louis, and “Gamebirds ”, a feature thriller laced with political intrigue, which she also co-wrote and “In Transition”, a documentary on foster care children aging out of foster care and becoming one of the largest growing homeless populations.

That’s right: Beate knows Kung Fu. And she can Bend it Like Beckham – as player, manager and founder of the Sirens of Soccer, a charity driven soccer exhibition team. The Sirens use the discipline of soccer to inspire the human spirit, build self-esteem and promote physical fitness to help underprivileged children around the world. Most recently the charitable spirit has been raising funds for Orphanages around the world, partnering with Global Futbol Initiative, a non-profit charitable organization that supplies soccer balls to underprivileged communities throughout the world, donating soccer balls to over 3,000 children living in poverty in 22 countries, securing sponsorships, and a worldwide following in the process with the Sirens of Soccer.

Beate will forever retain her childhood passion for the Circus, it will always remain the place where she discovered her love for the arts. She is also producing a series of educational videos for St. Anne’s foster youth program.
